Vision

To reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ with any method that does not violate scripture, traditional or contemporary. To usher in the anointing of God so there is a genuine demonstration of Gods' Power in our services. To make sure every resource that is used provides an atmosphere with one of these two ends in mind.

(1) To win the lost and

(2) To establish our believers in Christ and in ministry.

Statement of Faith

We believe that the words in the Bible were given to it's writers by God for our benefit.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons Ð Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)

We believe that Jesus is God in human form.

In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. (John 1:1) So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. (John 1:14)

We believe Jesus' mother was a virgin when He was born.

All of this happened to fulfill the Lord's message through his prophet: ÒLook! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and he will be called Immanuel (meaning, God is with us).Ó (Matthew 1:22-23)

We believe Jesus was perfect and did not do anything wrong.

He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has now been set apart from sinners, and he has been given the highest place of honor in heaven. (Hebrews 7:26)

We believe Jesus performed miracles.

And a huge crowd kept following him wherever he went, because they saw his miracles as he healed the sick. (John 6:2)

We believe that Jesus left heaven and took the form of a man so that His death would pay the price for our sins.

He is so rich in kindness that he purchased our freedom through the blood of his Son, and our sins are forgiven. (Ephesians 1:7)

We believe that Jesus came alive after His death on the cross.

He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said. (1 Corinthians 15:4)

We believe that Jesus arose from earth to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father.

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand. (Mark 16:19)

We believe that Jesus will return to Earth in power and glory.

They said, ÒMen of Galilee, why are you standing here staring in the sky? Jesus has been taken away from you into heaven. And someday, just as you saw him go, he will return!Ó (Acts 1:11)

We believe that it is necessary for everyone to ask Jesus into his heart to become Lord and Savior.

We believe that there is no other way of becoming acceptable to God except by accepting Jesus' death as payment for our sins. ÒFor God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.Ó (John 3:16-17)

We believe that both the saved and the lost will come before God.

Those that are saved (accepting Jesus as Savior) will live. Those that are lost (denied Jesus as Savior by word or indecision) will live and be sentenced by God to punishment. There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. (John 3:18)

We believe that all people who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior are united spiritually.

So you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have been made like him. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are all Christians Ð you are one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26-28)

We believe that the Holy Spirit, living in the Christian, makes it possible for the Christian to live a godly life.

So, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation whatsoever to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you keep on following it, you will perish. But if through the power of the Holy Spirit you turn from it and its evil deeds, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:12-14)

Church History

Crossroads Community Church began at the prompting of the Lord in January, 1973. That winter 12 people met to pray and discuss the possibilities of starting a new church. An air of excitement and expectancy filled the room as the Holy Spirit of God started filling the hearts and minds of those 12 people with His vision and will for this new church. They committed themselves to the Lord for His special work.

One week later, a meeting was held in an unfinished family room. It was there in the midst of 51 adults and 4 children that the Holy Spirit inspired the decision to name this new church Crossroads Community Church with the emphasis being on the cross. The Lord was swift in orchestrating the location and purchase of land, and enthusiastic faith filled people worked together to erect the building.

Throughout the years, additions have been made to the original building. A large multipurpose room was constructed in 1981. In 1994 this room was reassigned as the sanctuary as we had outgrown the seating in the original building. The children's wing was dedicated in 1998.

Crossroads Community Church continues to grow in dedication to the Lord's work. We are rising to the challenges of meeting the needs of our congregation and the surrounding community as the Lord wills, inspires, and empowers.
